The China Green Certificate（GEC）

The China Green Certificate (GEC: China Green Power Certificate), It was approved and issued by the National Renewable Energy Information Management Center. Its first appearance was in the Guidance on the Establishment of the Guidance System for the Development and Utilization of Renewable Energy development Goals issued by the National Energy Administration on March 3, 2016, and the green Certificate transaction officially began in July 2017. The electronic certificate with a unique code identification issued by the state for each megawatt hour of non water renewable energy online electricity consumption of power generation enterprises is also the only certificate for enterprises to use green energy.

      1 green certificate=1000 kwh of green electricity.

Trading method:

       Domestic green certificate transactions must be registered, filed, and transferred on the trading platform. The payment of funds is agreed upon by both parties through independent negotiation. The main trading methods include one-way listing on the platform and offline agreement transfer.

The International Green Certificate（IREC）

  The International Green Certificate (IREC: International Renewable Energy Certificate), Managed and issued by the I-REC Foundation, an international organization based in the Netherlands, it is an internationally recognized record standard for renewable energy consumption. As this certificate is accepted and recognized by many multinational enterprise associations, including RE100, non-profit climate organization TCG, non-profit international organization Carbon Disclosure Project CDP, and (China), it can not only be used as a passport for international climate organizations, but also break green trade barriers. It is also possible to complete annual ESG compliance audits and shape the company’s green and low-carbon social image. Therefore, it is purchased by domestic and foreign listed companies and world-renowned large enterprises to offset their own non green electricity consumption emissions and offset the carbon emissions of corporate electricity consumption.

  According to different types of power generation, the International Green Certificate (IREC) can be mainly divided into four types of certificates: wind power, photovoltaic（solar）, hydropower, and tidal power generation.

IREC transaction method:

      Both parties to the international green certificate IREC transaction need to open trading accounts and consumption accounts on the IREC official website. IREC certificate transfer is carried out on the official website platform, and the payment of project funds is agreed upon by both parties through offline negotiation.
